To Mother or Other

In the wake of my recent 35th birthday, I am creating space for women (and all peoples) to share their experiences and perspectives on family planning. To have kids or not is a major question in my life right now and it is so apparent that I am not alone. I have created a list of questions in a survey that can be answered by anyone who may want to share their input and my intention is to create a book with these stories. Please send me a message with your email and I will mail you my opening letter and questionnaire.

Thank you for your interest in this project!

Covid-Closure Series; San Francisco

In the months following the Covid-19 related closures for most of the bars, restaurants and other businesses throughout the country, I developed a small series of 30 line drawings of some of the brick and mortars from my then neighborhood in San Francisco, CA.

More recently, I compiled these drawings into a book, coupled with the article by the SFGATE highlighting this series and was published in April of 2020.

The Sea Ranch Lodge

The iconic Sea Ranch Lodge 53-acre property is one of the oldest buildings at The Sea Ranch. In 2018 the Lodge was acquired with new ownership and commissioned Barbara Stauffacher Solomon to design and paint the updated bar and lounge. In October of 2021, I spent four days mapping out and painting her Supergraphic design.

Black Lives Matter Mural

Sixteen artists worked over two days to install the Black Lives Matter mural at 100 Fairgrounds Drive in Petaluma, CA. Petaluma joined dozens of cities that have commissioned similar works in the months after the George Floyd killing that sparked a national dialogue on police brutality and racial equality.

T W I R L : A Decade of Artist Interviews

I have been selected as one of the artists for T W I R L.

T W I R L was formed to follow the evolution of a group of artists over a decade. With the goal of creating a digital community of artists, this project seeks to be a point of reflection and an archive of interviews that connect artistically minded people.

the sea ranch : moonraker

In the 1960s, Barbara Stauffacher Solomon painted Super Graphics on the interior walls of the Moonraker Bathhouses at the Sea Ranch in Sea Ranch, California. In October of 2018, Barbara, myself and her daughter, Nellie King Solomon, went to Sea Ranch to restore the mural in the women’s room that that had previously been destroyed with water damage.

berkeley art museum & pacific Film archive

In August 2018, Barbara Stauffacher Solomon was commissioned to paint on the Art Wall at the Berkeley Art Museum in Berkeley, California. The wall, measuring 60 feet long by 25 feet high, took four floors of scaffolding to complete her Supergraphics image from top to bottom. This was the first project I worked with Barbara.
